Pretty polycultures
Herbs and wildflowers establishing on our hugel mounds. Species here include white clover, borage, milk thistle, cut leaf cranesbill, yarrow, purple dead nettle, daisy, cleavers. Great mullein, marigold, purple dead nettle, blue and white borage, sow thistle.

Glorious weather and a great turn out of volunteers helping to tidy and sort the site, plant out ramsons (wild garlic) strawberries, thresh and winnow the rye grown last year and a bit of weeding out of grasses. It’s back, bigger n’ better n’ busier and more beetrooty
Grown in Peckham got back into action today with a spring clean of the container, weed of the beds and planting out of chard. Some new, and some old faces showed up and got gardening and it felt that all was as it should be at the garden.

Forest gardeners
New layers added to our forest garden. We planted blueberries, ground cover raspberries, rhubarb, tree onions, medlar, cherry plum, seaberry (buckthorn), Siberian pea tree, robinia, and bamboo.
