Free Introduction to Forest Gardening Sessions

We’ll be running a new free session for anyone interested in learning more about forest gardening.

Each of the 5 sessions will have roughly the same content and will cover:

What is a forest garden?

The benefits of growing food this way

How to maintain

Tree care and pruning ( this might  be theory only as it’s late in season to prune the apples and early for the plums/cherry/ apricot )

Please note the sessions will be very practical with plenty of physical work so do let us know in the notes if you have any requirements related to physical mobility.

Book a date via the link, sessions will run from 10.30am – 2pm
Friday 19th March
Wednesday 24th March
Friday 26th March
Wednesday 31st March
Friday 2nd April

Please book one session so that as many people as possible can attend.

We hope to see you in the garden!

During this time we are asking all our volunteers to sign-up to sessions so that we can ensure we limit the numbers in the garden and encourage social distancing whilst allowing people to enjoy our green and open space.

We will ask people to spread out, not bring children or animals to the garden and not to share tools. Even if you come with a friend or housemate we may ask you to keep your distance whilst in the garden.

We really appreciate you working with us to ensure everyone feels safe.

We have 8 slots available for each session – so please be aware this may be the number of volunteers in the garden.
